Tech Takes Down No. 14 BYU
No. 13 Texas Tech football recorded their fourth-straight win as they upset No. 14 BYU 38-24 Saturday in Lubbock
The Red Raiders took an early lead and never looked back. Henry Colombi was 20 for 31 for 229 yards and two touchdowns. He also had two interceptions. The Red Raider defense also contributed with four interceptions.
The Red Raiders' defense came up with big plays when they needed them most
After BYU pulled within 27-24 in third quarter, the Red Raiders answered right back with a 10-play, 68-yard drive that ended with a Tahj Brooks touchdown. The Red Raiders then added a field goal in the fourth quarter to put the game away.
With the win, the Red Raiders are now 4-1 on the season and ranked No. 13 in the AP Poll.
Tech will be back in action next Saturday when they travel to face No. 23 Kansas State. The Wildcats are 3-1 on the season and are coming off a 31-14 win over Oklahoma State.
